Anything Goes for the Christmas Card Club!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and not suffering with a cold as I am, yes it was bound to happen, Alistair shared his cold with me, and I'm feeling miserable, so you will be pleased to hear that this will be a short post.
Thank you for your lovely comments on my last card, and to say hello to Pat who has left a lovely first comment.

Would you believe it's time for us CCC gals to show our new Christmas cards......so sorry!!! I know, I know, most of you will be saying what the ......heck, Christmas has just gone. However, we are a little band of crafters who want to get ahead with the Christmas card making and not have to panic at the last minute, so every two weeks one of us chooses a theme and we all try to come up with something.  It's a good way to make sure you have at least 24 cards... is my maths correct!

So, this is the first Challenge of the year and chosen by our stalwart coordinator Margaret, or Duchess as she is known in Blogland, and it's an easy one, Anything Goes;
My first card uses a gorgeous snowflake stencil and Diamond Sparkle Medium from Imagination Crafts, the black card is also from them, and my cute little snow fella is a die given to me by my friend Mrs. Duck, which incidentally came along with bags of spices and a recipe for Aloo Gobi, which I am going to attempt when I feel better.
Now this little number is all made with freebies from a magazine the name of which escapes me for the moment, but there is an igloo embossing folder and a few little cute critters.  I decided on the penguins having a snowball fight. I've tried to make a Northern Lights sky with DI and I've made a background with Pixi Powders from Creative Expressions..... I need a bit of practise with them.

Please have a look at what the other ladies make, there are always wonderful cards from them, and if anyone would like to join us, please get in touch with either me or one of the other CCC Ladies and get ahead with it, we would love to see some new folk join us.

Hope you are having a fab weekend.. me well I'm doping up with the old paracetamol and a box of tissues, see you all soon,

Hi Kate
Oh dear, I hoped you might be feeling a bit better by now. Rest and some hot Ribena (no added sugar) to top up your Vit C dear friend.
Love your cards. I knew that little snowfella would have a good home with you lol! Hope he didn't smell too much like curry as he was up close and personal with those spices.
Your Northern Lights Pixie Powder background looks great with your penguins too.
Take care chuck.

Hi Kate, sorry to hear you have the cold, but it didn't stop you making a card. They are both amazing to say the least. I'm going to try and make my first card of this new year today as I've had a terrible time with the virus over the Festive Season. Hugs Rita xxx

Gorgeous cards, you'll be well prepared for next Christmas sweetie :)

Hope you'll feel better soon Kate, the Aloo Gobi might make the trick. I'll ask hubby if he can get us an Indian take out tonight...I'm also down with a cold, everyone seems to have caught it. Some hot spices would be warming :)

Love and hugs

Well done on getting started on your Christmas cards. I am determined to make them early this year because things were just far too busy for me for Christmas just gone.

You have made a brilliant start. Love those cute little penguins.

Hi Kate,
Happy New Year to you and Alistair.
So sorry you have the dreaded cold mine was horrible before Christmas and it took ages to shift.
I had such bad temps with it too.
Love these wonderful cards and the sparkle medium one is fantastic.
I certainly need that after watching TV yesterday.
Your second card is also very lovely and I really like the igloo and the penguins.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Sorry to be a day late in commenting, but at least I'm finally having a moment to visit. Oh dear, I'm so sorry you are feeling poorly. Having a bad cold, when the weather is cold as well, is just the pitts! Hard to get the body to feel warm. Your freebie card is just so adorable, and I'm fascinated with the free stuff in the UK magazines. You've used these items splendidly to create such a cute card. Also love that dramatic dark card with the sparkling stencil work too. Hope you will feel much better real soon. TFS & Happy New Year.

I love your cards Kate, I think the Imagination snowflake stencil is very pretty, especially when used with their Sparkle Medium. Your penguin card is just so sweet, love the igloo too. Take care of yourself and keep snug and warm.
